Liora Tidewell knows Grey Harbor well enough to ignore most of its
stories. The fog rolls in. Sailors exaggerate. Old houses collect
old rumors. And the cemetery on Cemetery Road has been there longer
than anyone she knows.
Then, during an ordinary night of pizza deliveries, Liora notices
lights moving between the graves. By morning, retired sea captain
Joshua Vale has been murdered — and an old grave has been opened
and found empty.
Joshua knew Liora's family. He knew something about the grave.
And shortly before his death, he tried to warn her that some names
were meant to remain under stone.
As Liora begins pulling at the threads he left behind, Grey Harbor's
history becomes harder to separate from its folklore. Old families
have kept secrets. People she trusts know more than they admit.
And the strange fog gathering over the town may not be weather at all.
Whatever was buried in Grey Harbor did not stay buried.
And now something has begun to move with the tide.
